Das Street-Rod-Phänomen kam in den frühen 1950er Jahren richtig in Fahrt. Es gab einen guten Bestand an alten 29er Fords und die neuen obenliegenden V8-Ventile kamen auf den Markt. Das war die perfekte Kombination für einen jungen Mann, der handwerklich begabt war. Die Model A Street Rods waren leicht, leistungsstark und billig zu bauen. Aber am wichtigsten war, dass sie sehr schnell waren!
