Dem immer größer werdenden Drang nach Mobilität im Wirtschaftswunder-Deutschland der 50er-Jahre folgend, präsentierten die Bayerischen
Motorenwerke 1955 das zweisitzige „MotoCoupé“ BMW Isetta. Der durch seine rundliche Grundform auch als „Knutschkugel“ bezeichnete,
äußerst beliebte Kleinwagen aus München wurde von einem 12 PS starken Motorradmotor angetrieben. Während der gesamten Produktionszeit
der Isetta, zwischen 1955 und 1962 wurden insgesamt 161.360 Isetten produziert.
