Die amerikanische C-130J ist ein viermotoriges Turboprop-Militärtransportflugzeug. Sie ist eine Weiterentwicklung der C-130H mit leistungsstärkeren RR AE 2100-Triebwerken und 6-Blatt-Säbelpropellern, einem neuen Bremssystem und einer zweisitzigen Kabine mit elektronischer Instrumentierung (EFIS) an Bord.
Bis Juli 2021 wurden 450 Exemplare der J-Version an Kunden in 22 Ländern ausgeliefert.
Die C-130J-30 ist eine gestreckte Version der C-130J, eines bewährten, äußerst zuverlässigen und erschwinglichen Lufttransporters. Der Rumpf wurde um 4,6 m verlängert, wodurch sich der nutzbare Raum im Frachtraum vergrößert (zwei weitere Paletten mit Ausrüstung). Er kann max. 128 Soldaten über eine Entfernung von 4.200 km befördern.
