Highlights des Modells: Metalldruckguss-Fahrgestell

Daten zum Vorbild: Die Baureihe 65 gehörte zum Neubauprogramm der Deutschen Bundesbahn und wurde 1951 erstmals geliefert. Das charakteristische Erscheinungsbild verleiht der Maschine
ein ebenso kraftvolles als auch elegantes Aussehen. Ihr bevorzugtes Aufgabengebiet war als Personenzugtenderlokomotive der Vorort- und Stadtbahnverkehr im Ruhrgebiet.
Einige Maschinen erhielten später eine Wendezugsteuerung. Die 18 Lokomotiven erreichten eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 65 km/h bei einer Leistung von 1.089 kW.
4/1 1972 fuhr die letzte Maschine auf das Abstellgleis.
