Zur Außerdienststellung der 747 erhielt N118UA den Schriftzug "Friend Ship", der ursprünglich auf der 747-Flotte in den 1970ern angebracht war. Der letzte Flug führte am 7. November als UA 747 von San Francisco nach Honolulu - die selbe Route, auf der auch die erste United 747 eingesetzt war.
