Product information "Schuco 450017500 MB Unimog U401 rot - 1:18 - Standmodell - Neu - OVP"

Ursprünglich als „Universal-Motor-Gerät“ entwickelt war der Unimog anfänglich ausschließlich für den Einsatz in der Landwirtschaft vorgesehen und erdacht. Ab dem Jahr 1949 serienmäßig produziert, wurde dieser wahre Alleskönner sehr schnell in der Land- und Forstwirtschaft, im militärischen Bereich und auch im starken Maße für kommunale Aufgaben eingesetzt. Anfänglich bei der Boehringer GmbH in Göppingen produziert, wurde die Fertigung 1951 nach Gaggenau verlegt. Seit 2002 wird die Unimog-Reihe im Daimler-Benz Nutzfahrzeug-Werk in Wörth hergestellt.
