Die mit einem 250 cm³ Motorradmotor ausgestattete BMW Isetta erreichte eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 85 km/h und wurde in den Jahren 1955 bis 1962 über 160.000mal produziert. Wegen ihrer kugeligen Form ist die Isetta heute noch als die „Knutschkugel“ bekannt und war bis in die 60er-Jahre bei einigen Polizei-Direktionen auch noch als wendiges Polizeifahrzeug unterwegs.
