Seit Mai 2023 stießen zunächst neun Exemplare der Boeing 737 Max 8 zur Flotte der Qatar Airways. Ursprünglich für die russische S7 Airlines vorgesehen, nutzte Qatar deren schnelle Verfügbarkeit, um ihr Kurz- und Mittelstreckennetzwerk weiter auszubauen. Weitere 25 Exemplare der 737 Max, allerdings von der verlängerten Max 10-Serie, stehen für den Golfcarrier bei Boeing noch in den Orderbüchern.
