G Gauge - Large Scale
The Gauge G or nominal size II (Gauge II (Two)), the so-called "garden railway") is becoming more and more popular, probably also because many things in this gauge are offered in weatherproof versions. It is often referred to as G gauge, but this is not officially recognised.
In principle, this gauge represents a narrow-gauge railway on a scale of 1:22.5, and the rolling stock on offer underlines this. The advantage of this railway is certainly the fact that it can be operated outdoors as well as indoors (if there is enough space).
For the nominal size II in the scale 1:22,5 the following model gauges are defined in the standards of European model railways (NEM).
